I’m heading to Italy this week and the creative packing skills have begun! Since I fly stand-by for my travels, meaning I don’t check any bags, I’m always trying to find ways to pack lighter. There are a ton of great products out there for travel, you just have to do a little hunting. OR! You can just check out my list below! This post is just focusing on toiletry/makeup items I’m currently packing, but they great space savers for any #dametraveler.
I just added this to my toiletry bag and I can’t wait to try it! It has great reviews, and I’m pretty confident I’ll love it since I already use the Secret brand. Essentially its the same Invisible Solid formula packed prettily in an on-the-go pod. You can buy these online or in most drugstores.
TOO FACED Better Than Sex Mini Mascara
Although mascara is already pretty slim, I still go as small as I can in my makeup and toiletry bags. I love the TOO FACED brand and this volumizing mascara gives me definition without being clumpy. This can be bought online or at most makeup stores.
Figue Amour Eau de Toilette or Other Travel Fragrance Sprays
I bought this spray in Paris from Sezane and absolutely love the scent! It’s sold out, but there are SO many fantastic travel sprays out there of amazing perfumes. There are also travel size roller ball versions, but I much prefer when they can spray. That way I can spray my clothing instead of rolling onto my skin, since my skin doesn’t hold fragrances well for some reason.
These blush sticks are inexpensive, have the perfect pigment and a glowy sheen. I like using a cream blush stick to save from having to pack both a brush and power blush, and it’s super easy to use. This brand also has makeup sticks for contouring, concealer, and strobing.
Living Proof Flex Shaping Mini Hairspray
I just switched over to this mini hairspray for travel and I really like it. It’s got a medium hold, so it holds my style in without being crunchy. Although there are plenty of cheap travel hairsprays out there, I prefer a quality hairspray to keep my hair lasting all day. I also really like Redkin Control Addict 28 for a good high-hold hairspray (which also comes in a mini).
Travel Size Batiste Dry Shampoo
I use dry shampoo on a weekly basis, but I especially use it when I travel. This saves you from having to wash your hair daily, which is a big time saver (and style saver). Also saves your from having to bring/buy more shampoo/conditioner than a travel size container holds (since that never seems to be enough when traveling more than a few days). I prefer the “divine dark” version by Batiste since it blends great into my dark hair, but it’s harder to find in the travel size, so I usually use the “original” or some other scented one while I travel.
